This module is designed to provide you with a sound and critical knowledge of a range of models of health behaviour, and of the importance and limitations of the biopsychosocial approach to understanding health and health inequalities. You will have an opportunity to apply theories of health behaviour change to the practical design and evaluation of a health promotion campaign.
Here are some of the questions you will discuss in class: What are key health issues in the UK? Consider how policy and practice has responded to these and in what way. What are the strengths and weaknesses/success and shortfalls of such responses?
